Principal's Message...
Dear Lamar Middle School Community, As we transition from fall into winter and prepare for the holiday season, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for making M.B. Lamar Middle School such an incredible place to learn and grow. It continues to be my honor and privilege to serve as your principal. Over the past few months, I’ve witnessed the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the unwavering support of our families. I couldn’t be prouder of all we’ve accomplished together. Our theme this year, “Restore the Roar,” remains at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to fostering academic excellence, building strong relationships, and ensuring that every student feels safe, valued, and supported. As we prepare for the holiday break, I’d like to remind our students and families of a few important things: Attendance Matters: Make sure to stay engaged and avoid unnecessary absences before the break. Every day counts! Devices: Students should bring their devices home over the break and ensure they’re kept safe and charged for the new year. Dress Code and Safety: When we return, let’s continue working together to maintain a positive, respectful, and safe learning environment. Our holiday break begins on Monday, December 23rd, and classes resume on Monday, January 13th. I encourage all students to enjoy their time off, be safe, and take this opportunity to rest and recharge. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for a successful new year. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. I wish you and your families a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Happy Holidays, Melissa Valdez Principal M.B. Lamar Middle School
