Dear Parents, It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to our 2024-2025 school year. My name is Melissa Valdez, and it is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter to introduce myself as your new principal of M. B. Lamar Middle School. I am very excited to be part of this community which has already welcomed me with such warmth. I’ve had several interactions with staff, families, and students, and it is very clear that this school is a very special place. Our Lamar Middle staff is eager and ready to begin a great school year as they prepare and plan for academic excellence for our students. It is going to be a “Great” year as we challenge our students with rigorous and relevant instruction while at the same time building strong relationships. As your principal, it is of utmost importance that our students, parents, faculty, and staff feel welcomed and excited as they walk into our campus. Lamar Middle School is an amazing community and our administrative team, faculty, and staff appreciate how you entrust your children to us every day. We will do our best to ensure that your children will have a positive and safe school year.
