Attention students! Cigarroa High School will be hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 17, and Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the CHS Library from 9:00 am-2 pm. If you donate blood you will receive a cool t-shirt as a treat! Please contact Mrs. Elaine Ibarra if you have any questions.
The Laredo Police Department and LISD Safety Department delivered a presentation on distracted driving to all seniors as part of our CHS/Sabas Perez Early College HS safety initiative. Thank you to Ms. Marta Lopez for organizing the event. Go Toros!!
Out of an abundance of caution, Laredo ISD is suspending classes at both Cigarroa Middle and Cigarroa High Schools today.
The suspension is due to a threat which is currently under investigation by both the City of Laredo and LISD Police Departments.
While no students or staff are in an immediate threat of personal safety, LISD takes every threat and rumor seriously
LISD will pursue the full extent of prosecution to any person who poses a threat to our schools.
Meanwhile, additional security protocols will be followed in the surrounding schools and this includes Santo Nino, Kawas, Ligarde, Zachry, and Daiches Elementary Schools.
