Students at M.B. Lamar Middle School recently got a hands-on-and delicious - say in what goes on their lunch trays during the Laredo ISD Secondary Menu Advisory Committee (S-MAC) taste testing event.
During the event, student representatives sampled a variety of potential new cafeteria dishes and provided direct feedback on flavor, presentation, and menu preferences. The initiative gives middle schoolers a meaningful voice in shaping campus dining choices and promoting healthy nutrition across the district.
Lamar Middle School students proudly stepped up to represent their peers, taking their role on the advisory committee seriously. Highlights of the event included two Lamar Lions taking the stage to share their evaluations live in front of district leaders, staff, and fellow committee members.
