Ms. Resendiz (8th Grade Science) – Ms. Resendiz has a unique way of making the wonders of science come alive. We are so proud to have her representing M. B. Lamar as our Golden Apple Teacher nominee, showcasing the kind of impactful teaching that happens in our halls every day.
Ms. Garcia (8th Grade Math) –Ms. Garcia has a gift for making the tough stuff make sense. We are thrilled to celebrate her as our Teacher of the Year, as she pours her energy into ensuring her students leave her classroom with the confidence to take on high school and beyond.
Ms. Gonzalez (Librarian Aide) – Ms. Gonzalez assists in ensuring our library remains a welcoming hub for every student. We are proud to recognize her as our Instructional Support honoree, as she serves as a consistent helping hand for students and staff alike in our discovery spaces.

To celebrate Earth Day, Mrs. Gonzalez’s 6th graders are turning their desks into a living laboratory. They are investigating the delicate balance of our ecosystems by studying how living organisms rely on non-living factors like soil nutrients and light to survive. It’s the perfect way to see how the world works, one sprout at a time!
