A huge shoutout to our amazing 8th graders, Julieta and Amanda, for representing M. B. Lamar at the Student by Student Technology and Leadership Conference hosted by Region One ESC! 🎉 This incredible conference brings students together to learn directly from other students about leadership, technology, and real-world experiences. Julieta and Amanda had the opportunity to hear high school students share how STEM clubs and career pathways have truly shaped their futures and opened doors they never imagined. 🚀 To make it even more exciting, three LISD high schools presented, giving our students a glimpse into what’s ahead and all the possibilities waiting for them! 💚 We are so proud of Julieta and Amanda for stepping into this experience and bringing that inspiration back to M. Today was such a beautiful day for our school! ☀️ We officially kicked off the first mini phase of our campus beautification project, and it was a total success. Our student council members and their sponsor, Mrs. Gonzalez, have been working hard creating plans to improve our school, and today they traded their pens for shovels to get some beautiful new plants in the ground. Watching the kids have so much fun getting their hands dirty to make our campus shine was definitely the highlight of the week! 🌿✨

We have some amazing people to thank for making this planting party possible. A huge shoutout goes to Laredo Lawn, Inc. and specifically Mr. Luis Guzman and Mrs. Lucy Ramirez for their incredibly generous donation of two Crape Myrtles, three shrubs, and four bags of potting soil. 🌳 These are going to look stunning as they grow and bloom!

We also couldn't have done the heavy lifting without Mr. Soto, Supervisor of Grounds and Utilities, and his hardworking team from the Division of Operations. They were right there with us digging holes and helping the kids get everything planted. 🛠️ We also want to thank Mr. Velasquez, Assistant Superintendent for Plant Facilities and Support Services, and Mr. Neira, Director of Division of Operations, for coordinating all the logistics and supporting our vision for a more beautiful campus. 👏

Finally, a big thank you to our awesome custodians and our administrators for letting this happen and helping us get this project off the ground. The campus looks so much brighter already, and the students are so proud of the work they did! 🌸 It was amazing to see our student council out there working together to improve our school grounds.

The kids are officially taking on the role of "plant guardians" and are responsible for making sure our new green friends stay watered and healthy. 💧 This is just the beginning of making our campus the best it can be! 🌳🙌✨

What an incredible day at M. B. Lamar Middle School Elementary Expo! 🦁✨

We were so excited to welcome our feeder elementary schools M. S. Ryan Elementary School, Alma A. Pierce Elementary School, Heights Elementary School, K. F. Tarver Elementary School, and C. L. Milton Elementary School for a special preview of all the amazing elective and afterschool club opportunities waiting for them at M. B. Lamar Middle School!

Students got to explore our incredible programs including Art, Boys and Girls Athletics, Orchestra, UIL, Choir, and Band. They also enjoyed exciting performances from our Cheer Team and Prancers that showcased the talent, spirit, and pride that make Lamar so special! 🎶🎨📣🏅

We are so proud of our students, teachers, sponsors, and staff who helped make this event a success and truly represented what it means to be a Lamar Lion 🦁💛

Our Lion Leaders have been hard at work putting together special goodie bags for our students as we head into testing season 🦁✨

With so much care and encouragement, they helped assemble these little bundles of motivation designed to remind our students that they are prepared, supported, and more than capable of success. Every bag was packed with positivity, confidence, and Lion pride!
